Senior Material Europe at Upcell Alliance Event

Last week, Senior Material Europe took part in the Upcell Alliance Event Västerås 2026, bringing together companies, researchers and other stakeholders from across the battery value chain to discuss the future of the Nordic battery industry.

The event offered an opportunity to exchange perspectives on how technology, innovation and collaboration can contribute to a strong and competitive battery ecosystem in Europe.

As part of the programme, Jiayan Cong, VP Technology & Projects at Senior Material Europe, participated in the panel discussion “Connecting the Value Chain – Shaping the Nordic Battery Future”. The discussion explored the importance of connecting expertise and capabilities across the value chain, from materials and manufacturing to technology and research.

For Senior Material Europe, collaboration across the value chain is an important part of building a strong and sustainable European battery industry. Engaging with industry partners, research institutions and other stakeholders enables us to share knowledge, explore new opportunities and contribute to the continued development of battery technologies in Europe.
