Environmental permitting process update

Senior Material (Europe) AB is preparing an application to amend its environmental permit for the planned production process in Eskilstuna.
Following feedback from the County Administrative Board and other consultation participants, the consultation documentation will be supplemented.

The additional documentation will include further information on the quantities to be handled at the facility and waste management. It will also provide a clearer description of the supporting studies that will form part of the environmental impact assessment, including studies related to risk, firewater management and emissions to air.

The additional information will help define and clarify the scope of the environmental impact assessment. The updated consultation documentation will be made available to consultation participants, who will have the opportunity to review it and submit comments.

The amended process remains subject to environmental assessment and permitting. We will continue to provide updates as confirmed information becomes available.
