Connecting Education and Industry Through a Study Visit

This week, Senior Material Europe welcomed students from the Industrial Technology Programme at Strängnäs Municipality’s Komvux education centre for a study visit ahead of potential workplace-based learning placements (APL) planned for autumn 2026.

The visit began with an introduction to Senior Material Europe and our role in the battery value chain. The students then joined guided tours of Factory 1 and Factory 2, gaining insight into our operations and production processes.

By opening our doors and sharing our knowledge, we aim to strengthen the connection between education and industry. Providing students with first-hand experience of modern manufacturing helps develop practical skills, deepen their understanding of industrial processes and strengthen the link between education and the skills needed in industry.
